does anyone ever have that feeling of joy knowing that its the start of the month and your favourite magazine has a new issue and all you wanna do is run to the newsagent and buy it!? then you get to spend hours pouring over it devouring all its goodness that you love it for? well it came to the start of the month and i joyfully anticipated travelling to the newsagent and purchasing my ALL time favourite magazine, chik. but whence i got there, the old one was still there. i checked the old one and it dutifully proclaimed the september issue was coming out on the 6th of September. today was duh, the 5th. bugger. so the next day i checked again. nope. old one. and the next day.. nup again. old one still showing its face. coupla days later, every day me checking the same newsagent, it still hadnt shown up. so i clicked on their website. it hadnt changed and it still indicated that august one was the current issue. THEN i clicked on the forum and BADADADA!!! there it was.

and it stated: they were no longer.
THEY CUT THE MAGAZINE!
DAMN IT!
i almost cried.
not really.
you know why they cut it? because their original purpose was as an unique magazine that could portray a different and more positive message to girls than other magazines and since those other magazines had picked up on it and started portraying positive messages as well, they decided chik was no longer needed and had served its purpose.
thats bullcrap. what if people liked it because it didnt have pictures of home and away boys in it and it talked about bands that werent in the top 40 or whatever and it showed a unique fashion that wasnt from supre?
shoot, now theres nothing.
well at least ill be saving money...
